LOE (Leadership Organizational Empowerment)

LOE provides welcome and support of a spiritual nature for those seeking to be renewed, equipped and strengthened in their relationship with God and in Christian ministry. LOE will seek to welcome the visitor and reach out to those in our congregation. LOE consist of ministry Elders who direct and oversee of all the HTHM ministry Pillars. LOE provides guidance and governance of standard set forth by Pastor and the Board of Directors.

Firestarters (Intercessory, Praise + Worship, Dance)

  • Intercessory Team:
    Responsible for covering the ministry, Pastor(s), leaders, BOD, members, community and the world covered in prayer. Seeks direction from leadership about strategic prayer for the ministry. Receives prayer request through the appropriate channels and prays accordingly.
  • Worship Team:
    To help conducive the atmosphere during worship service to provide overall coordination to the service. Responsible for training and scheduling worship leaders and assuring that the flow of service happens as planned.
  • Dance Team:
    Plays a dramatic role in the worship process. Duties include the visual thematic and liturgical presentations. Responsible for training and scheduling worship leaders and assuring that the flow of service happens as planned.

HELP Pillar (Help Elevate the Lives of People)

Hospitality has always been an integral part of Christianity and offering hospitality with intention affords new people a chance to meet our church members and for all attendees to have an opportune time for relationship building. Duties of the Hospitality Team include the flowing:

  • Ushers:
    Responsible for the smooth flow of the service, while welcoming and seating congregates and insuring their comfort. Duties include greeting and welcoming attendees, the distribution of Sunday Worship materials, gathering the tithes and offerings, orchestrating the choreography of communion and general tidying of the sanctuary following worship. Ushers, in their roles of greeting and welcoming, also are responsible for the distribution and collection of Visitors’ Cards or Welcome Cards designed for first-time visitors.
  • Greeters:
    To offer a warm welcoming atmosphere as people enter the sanctuary, while holding the doors wide greeting everyone who enters with a smile.
  • Parking Lot Attendants:
    Responsible for directing and assisting the flow of traffic and parking. while maintaining order and ease for all who seek to gain entrance into the sanctuary.
  • Evangelist:
    Responsible coordinating in-reach and outreach opportunities. Charged with the task of assessing the needs of the people they encounter whiling seeking to inspire hope in dark places showcasing God’s love and grace.

SWERVE Youth Ministry

It is our goal to provide high quality, fun children’s and youth programming that teaches the principles of Christianity and critical thinking in a supportive environment. It is our goal to provide Sunday youth service, for children and youth ages newborn – 18 and membership classes for our youth beginning at age 7. Outings, in-reach, vacation bible school and other events may be scheduled as needed or desired.

The mission of this pillar is to influence others to Start Worshiping Early Recognizing Victories Everyday through by the way of Jesus Christ. The vision of this pillar is to cultivate develop and prepare the young believer on their journey of becoming a beacon of light that will not only impact and empower their local communities and the world.

Launch Pillar

The vision and the mission of a ministry is the foundation of the how people connect with what we stand for and how we operate. Launch is the Media Ministry of Highway to Heaven Ministry. Launch is responsible for all things PR, marketing, visual and audio. The mission of this pillar is to uphold the brand integrity of HTHM through creating a clear understanding of the ministry vision and mission using a multimedia prospective. The vision of this pillar is to see growth in the knowledge of the ministry, while coming together under one collective and concise adaptation of who HTHM is within the body of Christ.

FLOW

The mission of this pillar is to is to mature our church financially and ensure that our members are wisely gathering, managing, protecting and investing the resources which have been allocated to our church. The vision of this pillar is to develop and achieve our church's financial goals and growth.

ESSENCE (In Process)

This pillar consists of the following:

  • Iron Sharpens Iron Men’s Ministry
  • Heart 2 Heart Women’s Ministry
    A Women's empowerment Ministry, inspired by the late Sister Shelia West. Through events, seminars, roundtables and bonding exercises the women of HTHM come together and speak life into each other and uplift each other creating a sisterhood lead by God's Word.

The mission of this pillar is to connect members together aiding in personal discover, fun, community value and oneness.

The vision of this pillar is to see growth spiritually and personally among them members, while effecting change.
